I run Qwen3 Coder 30b through Ollama on an RTX7900XTX. It works great, I suspect some load gets passed to the 32gb system memory and Ryzen 7 CPU. It's not quite as fast as like Sonnet 4 from an API, but it's really not that bad. I

I need to be delicate with wording here, but this is why it's a worry that all the least intelligent people you know could be using AI. It's why non-coders think it's doing an amazing job at software. But it's worryingly

You both seem to have assumed I don't hold these standards to real artists, which is nuanced but more or less wrong. I don't know why you made that assumption.

I don't really want to get pedantic about this, but I also don't listen to pop and authenticity in lyrics is important to me. But authenticity in creation is just as important, I listen to a lot of music with no lyrics at all and

I would like to see change there for sure. That said, DRM is optional for publishers on Steam. Once you've downloaded a game without DRM (steam's or otherwise) you can back it up and play it without Steam.

It is nice to see people bucking the trend getting rewarded, I see a bright future for an open ecosystem for gaming (even ignoring the Steam announcements). DRM is the publishers choice, worth noting.

In theory you can run all your GamesPass games on a Steam Machine in the same way you can run arbitrary games through Proton, which is what Steam is doing. What a wild world it would be, if Microsoft release a GamesPass client for linux so

But it is also a PC, so I don't see the issue even if this were true. It's just a box running an Arch Linux flavour.

For sure, I wouldn't read it as if it were a human story though since I can relate and empathise with the human. But it would be interesting to see what kind of experience it had and how it records and explains it.

Objectively we should care because the content is not the whole value proposition of a blog post. The authenticity and trust of validity of the content comes from your connection to the human that made it. I don't need to fact check a

I think search engines should be worried, because people will silently lose faith in their results and start using AI chat instead. If search engines fail to find genuine, authentic content for me, and they just pipe me to LLM articles, I m

Your later point is hard to convey to people who don't want to hear it. I don't want AI content, even if it is as good, or even if it were better. The human element IS the point, not an implementation detail. An AI song about sail

You said we can be unhappy, which is what the grandparent was being, but you took issue with that anyway. I imagine people in deep enough to care about the downstream release cycle of android are well aware of the power structures at play.

These new controllers look just like the Quest 3 controllers. Ergonomically I really like them, and they have capacitive touch for most surfaces as well.

I am running Endeavour OS an Arch based distro, and it has been almost hassle free for games. Even less hassle than windows since I didn'teven have to download and install GPU drivers. Games with anti-cheat sometimes won't run, bu

Your later point is what makes me think this doesn't have comprehensive legs, just niche usage. A typical game has thousands of hand placed nodes in 3D space, that do things like place lights, trigger story beats, account for physics a

Aren't the gausian splats the output here? Or are these worlds fully meshed and textured assets? From my understanding, admittedly quite a shallow look so far, the model generates gaussian splats then from that could implement the coll

I am beginning to wonder if the rumoured HLX is actuallya VR native experience, perhaps Alyx 2. All the leaks have pointed toward increased focus on systems like objects having physical properties that would really add to immersion in VR.

If you are lucky enough to have wired as an option anyway, especially in linux this has been shaky. But with Steam continuing to push into linux and VR I have no doubt this will change quickly.
