I wrote up a guide to working with HTML in HXT: http://adit.io/posts/2012-04-14-working_with_HTML_in_haskell... You might find it handy if you decide to give HXT another go :)

I love Haskell, but parsing XML with it is a huge pain. Someday I want to write a better XML parsing library, but for now I use HXT. I wrote a blog post a while back that shows some sample usage: http://adit.io/posts/2012-03-10-building_a_

It would be more accurate to say "natural language processing in Javascript". Javascript has a few NLP libraries but afaik there is no clear go-to library yet.

Cool! I'm interested in NLP and might want to help out on this. Do you have a TODO list / roadmap yet?

Why not make a command-line tool for this? That would make the whole process even faster :)

Seconding the recommendation for David Lowe's paper. It's easy to follow and seriously impacted image detection. If you have MATLAB you can also run his demo: http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~lowe/keypoints/ It's very interesting to see.
