If you want to ignore the part where that money was taken from someone else, then sure it's free money. Redistribution covers both sides of the transaction rather succinctly.

They could easily disable the autonomous functions. Maybe even refund a portion of the license fee. Who knows what they will choose to do.

http and rest are not the only ways to reuse a socket. You could just write the packet to the TLS stream, raw, and keep the socket open.

How are futures handled for open() and disk i/o?

wrk has included corrections for coordinated omission. It is a different implementation, not sure what all of the differences are.

As far as I can tell there is nothing in google's terms of service that relate to defaults. How do I know this? Because Samsung replaces every app I can think of with theirs. - launcher - web browser - mail - calendar - keyboard - SMS&

Sounds like if you can size the cache large enough to hold enough data to keep cache miss under control, ATS is solid. Thank you for sharing!

It's obviously working well for you but I'm curious how you deal with the circular buffer cache with ATS. For a large library that would seem to be an immediate disqualifier. Or maybe I'm not understanding how that works. I&#

They aren't independent questions. Why would you get cloud based document editing and storage from microsoft or google, and then not use the freely included and well integrated calendaring and email that either provide.

That only works if you can guarantee monospaced font rendering on the client. It also looks ugly.

That's a pretty bold statement to make. The announcement contains zero detail, to the point that I'm left questioning what the purpose of leaking the information was other than page views.

If you limit basic income, that's called welfare. I thought the point of basic income is that everyone gets it. Now sure... wealthy people will pay more in taxes than they receive in basic income. But it would still be a tax credit.

I'm not sure how they can pull this off without rebranding. State, ISP, and end user devices/software filters exclude playboy by name. Right? How can you distinguish between old rated X playboy, and new PG playboy.

Yes, I have. We used go in a system that had to keep track of essentially large hashes containing popularity / scoring information, in addition to what were effectively routing tables, and ran into >500ms pauses. At scale, it seemed

Interesting. I think the GC pauses are go's biggest problem. Looks like they are tackling this head on with positive results.

what do you get in return for an AP CS score? The same thing you get in return for any AP class, an extra point for GPA calculations. It's a pretty big deal. The fact that so few people selected AP CS in these states deserves serious

GitHub should cut China off from all services until the attack stops. It is clearly something the Chinese government doesn't want, or they'd just block GitHub in the Great Firewall themselves.
