npm uses locks per default, and to disable that, you need to create a file called .npmrc at the root of the project and add package-lock=false to it. I don't think any popular project does that. It's also a common practice to use

NPM has had package locking since what feels like a million releases. I wish the Java community (which I'm actually also a part of) would stop rejecting everything that's not "the Java/enterprise way" and be humbled

I'm living in Germany and my wife really likes shutting them fully. That really makes it hard for me to wake up. I wish I could automate them. 2 problems: We don't own the flat we are living in and I wouldn't even know where

I wish something like this existed in Turkic languages. There's a billion of them with very small communities, so it would be nice to see some of their properties preserved in a unifying language. Not to mention there's also a lot

That works wonderful as long as you have a flexible type system like Typescript. For me io-ts[0] has been a godsend when I want runtime type-checking on io boundaries (and you may have a lot of them in a front-end application). [0]: https:

I find Solid.js a "better" React as well. In a new project that needs to be used by a lot of team-members, however, I still chose React. Why? Because of the ecosystem! Do I need accessible, headless components? Use React-aria from
