I have visions of buying/building one to feed my cats and bring packages from my porch, is this crazy ambitious? Edit: Just seen that 'low cost' means $6k, LMAO

Yeah I had such high hopes for Warp before it launched and then it's slowly enshittified. Turns out Ghostty was what I wanted all along.

This guy's such a weird writer. Speaking like he discovered YOLO mode and called it the Ralph Wiggum method. This was underwhelming, but I like his websites styling.

Looks really cool! But I have to able to bring my own LLM. In a space moving this fast by the time my enterprise has finished vetting a tool that wants to be it's own LLM/process my data itself, it's already out of date. I&#x

I don't understand how to use this, I keep trying to edit a photo (change a jacket to a t-shirt) of myself in the Gemini app with 2.0 flash selected and it just generated a new image that's nothing like the original

I use Vertex because that's the one that makes enterprise security people happy about how our datas handled. Do Google use all the AI studio traffic to train etc?

The way dependency resolution works in Java with the special, Google only, giant dynamic BOM resolver is hell on earth. We have to write code that round robins every region on retries to get past how overloaded/poorly managed vertex is

The thing is that the entry level of provisioned throughput is so high! I just want a reliable model experience for my small Dev team using models through Vertex but I don't think there's anything I can buy there to ensure it.

I love that you're responding on HN, thanks for that! While you're here I don't suppose you can tell me when Gemini 2.5 Pro is hitting European regions on Vertex? My org forbids me from using it until then.

I feel like I need a power users walkthrough of Kagi to shows it's value, I just can't get it up for it at the moment. I barely even use Google these days and just ask GPT :-D

It's mind blowing to me that people still ship software by copying a file to a machine and restarting a service. I'm very unfamiliar with IIS hosting though, does it support any kind of containerisation/deployment immutabilit

Can't wait to jump on Ghostty on Linux, once they introduce a feature to save my tab/splits layout or put it in a conf file to load, like a terminator profile.

I've got an open ai API key, and I pay for chatgpt. I'd imagine switching to this and using openai would end up costing quite a lot? How are people running it relatively cheaply?

TL;DR Guy tried to write an AI E2E acceptance test running service based on existing Gherkin, it was harder than expected. Now he's a contract traditional QA Engineer. No big ending, just a snippet of a story.
