I'm so glad that modern languages are opinionated and have default formaters that come with them. Jumping from one C codebase to another is really a nightmare, especially if you want to review code. That's a security issue in my b

Really? I find whatsapp light years ahead in terms of user experience. I'm a heavy user of Signal, and I'm cheering for their success, but they have a long way to go.

Unfortunately do you have anything to back your claim? Because there is a number of official sources pointing out that Whastapp uses the signal protocol to do both 1:1 and group chat

They speak like my grand mother pretty much (who's not from paris but from the south). Slow, old words and expressions, same intonation towards the end.

I have the MacBook Air 2018 (13-inch, 1.6 GHz i5, 16 GB memory) and it gets pretty slow for my dev side-projects, the battery is good but definitely not as good as my iPad pro (but much better than my macbook pro), and my keyboard has been

I worry about a world where we read this, and we feel good about ourselves, and we forget that people live without healthcare.

What about the people who cannot pay their medical bills? Or who cannot get medical care due to the cost? They're winning too?

The first cool thing about play.golang.org and play.rust-lang.org is that you don't need to setup a project to quickly test something (this is especially a pain in rust as you need to set dependencies in a Cargo.toml file. The second c

That's really cool! Looks like a fiddlejs but for VSCode. When I read the title I was hopping that it would also allow something like the golang or rust playground which I use frequently. I'm wondering now if something like that r

I think it's both, it's not just an empathy thing because they do have empathy: but only for their family, their neighbors of colors, etc. It's more selective sure, but it's still empathy.

It's hard to agree or disagree as decentralization doesn't have a clear definition. It is decentralized, but not to the point of making it censorship-resistant.

It's a currency based on cryptography, let's not try to exclude projects based on random definitions. You want to be more specific, like, it is not censorship-resistant.

It's easier to regulate one entity, harder to regulate many. People like to pretend that small businesses that hold people's data don't regularly get breached, store passwords in clear, just sell your emails to spam agencies,
