Projectional Editing can be done with text sources. Here’s an old video of JetBrains MPS rendering a table from code https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XolJx4GfMmg&t=63s I’m hoping for an IDE able to render dictionaries as

If the problem is simple enough for top-down design, I write signatures along with comments with i/o examples. But if I need to explore stuff, I ask for some example and then re-prompt it top-down.

> At worst it's unnecessary Not really. The problem goes beyond re-rendering 15 times. For instance, how do you instrument usage? It can’t be simply debounced. Similarly, you’ll be making unnecessary requests. e.g., we need to fetch

Yes, but in all fairness that’s React 16.8+ (2019) Before that you could write: class Page extends React.Component { componentWillReceiveProps(nextProps) { if (nextProps.url !== this.props.url) logVisit(nextProps.url,

Fun fact: my coworkers who use “Show whitespace chars” in their IDE find the padding too distracting. So for them I switch my font before sharing my screen. I got used to the padding in a few minutes, the first version had a 1/4 space

My programming font. It’s proportional and uppercase letters have a 1/3 of a space of left padding. Proportional because they are faster to read in general, and the padding makes reading camel-case faster as well. https://gi

The most inspiring post I've seen here is SketchLab (2022). https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32294388 I know why, but it’s too personal to say it here. But I can say that it’s on the same list I have Skecthpad (196

You can allow safe inline CSS with a nonce. For example: <style nonce="sha256-Ce2SAZQd/zkqF/eKoRIUmEqKy31enl1LPzhnYs3Zb/I="> html { background: red } </style> And a CSP like this de
