There are some additions going on to make CSS addon sheets that match the NOAA, yahoo, accuweather, etc etc. It's just a ton of work to even get this far, I have to take month long breaks to return to the real world. The next big relea

For bleeds I just use the same container structure inside of a wrapper div that has the bleed. For images that you want to touch the side or whatever, there is some of that fiddling with the margins on the interior elements, yeah.

Read the doc and the Less files. To really use bootstrap, you gotta use their Less and then your own on top of it.

That's a bug. Offset inheritance and reverse-inheritance was a real bugger of logic. Will fix.

XS keeps columns in a phone view, but often you want to just stack the cols and not use a grid so much as just "a shelf" 90% of my designs use col-sm-*, and then if stuff needs fiddling at md or lg I do it there. For xs I just usu

As shaunxcode says, there is an unpushed preview that does let you expand it out with text, images, and then try it out live in a browser that is real HTML you can resize, etc. Really cool. That should be done tonight.

Nesting is the next on the roadmap once we get around to it. The Clojure for this is super complex, it was a ton of work making it "unbreakable" (as if). We're in a good spot to add it. The nesting will actually "zoom&qu

Nope. This is all it does and all it is planned to do. There may be more features to extend the way it works, but it's strictly a grid tool and learning tool, not a builder. I wanted to attack the problem from a different angle than bo

What do you mean? You can change them to any by clicking on the left side different "views" and then change the column width to anything, and when you click back and forth between the responsive sizes you'll see it change liv

You'd never nest containers using bootstrap. Do you mean rows/cols?

Thanks. I wrote the explanation above. Just good content on a topic that gets a ton of searches, but a lot of people don't write about it in clean, understandable ways. At the time, the Bootstrap doc didn't explain it in the same

These articles get about 50k visitors a month between the 3 Bootstrap articles. It's just clean SEO optimization to make Google like it, and then good content and tons of people who backlink them and tweet them. It's legit ground-

You're welcome. Saving is broke right now. Be sure to check out the Less Mixin mode where you can name your rows and columns and use pure Less to make the grids. Fun fact - it's all clojurescript.

What I've found is that as you try to make a grid that is robust and works for a huge middle-ground of use cases, it really is tough. Bootstrap has a lot of strange nuance, but a lot of the time it's "one of the only ways&quo

With Less, you can pare bootstrap down to just the bare minimum of what you need, all the way down to just using the grid an nothing else. When you compile your Less, it's super slim. My focus wasn't on the bootstrap CSS customiz

The less mixin version of making the columns can be any value as it does some math to take it to a percent. So a 6 is a 50%, so if you want a 7.5, it will just change that to a % and then your 4.5 will fit right in. You can do this with alm

It is super easy to overwrite breakpoints in the variables, or just make your own. Especially if you use Less to define your grids and not HTML, you can just reference whatever you want, like: @media (min-widht: @eriks-custom-width); {} Tha
