Curious… does it ever get low enough that electric heat becomes desirable? We moved into a place that had electric heat on the ground floor, ran it the first cold month, saw the bill, then made it a purely "on demand" heating solu

First: Congratulations all around. Very exciting to get that much support and validation. Second: As much as any of us can make comprehensive grocery lists, there's a serendipity to the grocery runs that I'm not ready to give up.

I've been a fan of Fw for many years and now primarily use Sketch. It doesn't have the raster capabilities of Fireworks (Pixelmator's there when I need to work w/ bitmaps), but it has the same concept of Stylized Shapes and Shape Groups ins

I used Fireworks for half my career, and when it became obvious that Adobe was letting Fw rot, I went looking for alternatives. It took a little while, but Sketch has finally gotten there. Sketch a purely vector app, whereas Fireworks was a

The site tries too hard to be eye-catching, and like other commenters have already stated, looks like the latest, trendiest WordPress theme. Gov't sites should maybe be the opposite of this: as little art as possible and squeaky clean navig

I was a huge Zappa fan in my late teens/early twenties. I don't listen to his music much anymore, but I still consider him a personal hero. Read his autobiography and you'll idolize him as much as I do. I definitely read this piece before,

I found out I'm a slow caffeine metabolizer. I like coffee, a lot. I need a few sips to feel like a person in the morning, but that's it (totally a mental/addiction thing). I enjoy the taste and experience of the beverage, but it doesn't do
