You won't hear much about the VM escapes in those clouds because there is strong incentive for almost everyone to be quiet about them and patch as soon as possible so there "isn't a story". Some researchers do want to ma

No, it is levels of security, not a white/black issue. For some customers and providers, containered processes are enough isolation. For many small businesses, even shared hosting with chroot is enough. Generally speaking, Xen or Firec

Single beam of electrons diffracts like single beam of light, but otherwise electrons behave very differently than light: two electron beams interfere with each other, while two light beams do not.

You are reading too much into my comment. I only asserted there is no need for "magical explanations". Of course fields are not a trivial idea.

But society is tolerant of intolerance and I believe it has to be tolerant, if we are to be a free society, as opposed to engineered society controlled by elites. For example, Western society tolerates to some extent (and it should) bigot

That is not true. Casimir force is due to EM interaction between the objects (retarded London forces). EM field is not "nothing", it is a thing that is everywhere and has properties.

I think it is systemd's job to make sure it works for its users, even though that requires working around HW bugs. If RDRAND is so problematic and can be not used, why use it at all? Just abstain from using it, simplify the logic and s

Can someone explain what does this claim "x is y years old" even mean? Isn't time coordinate (of creation of x) dependent on the reference frame of the observer? Which frame is used here?
