Not at all. MS Comic Chat was an IRC client that presented the entire chat as a comic book. I think it's also where the Comic Sans font originated. # Appears as XENO.

I would assume the danger is not your own content breaking out of the sandbox, but displaying unsanitized content from a remote database, which sadly still happens a lot more than you would expect. Definitely not something that only happens

It's not the same. It's much, much worse. This is sanctioned, happy-few bribery.

Surely the mistake was case sensitive filenames. I can't think of a single end-user use case where this behavior is desirable.

Not everyone has the same potential, but a lot of potential goes to waste because it is not encouraged.

It hasn't been shown yet that achieving natural herd immunity is even an option. Even in countries where they have been very lax on measures there hasn't been enough build-up for HI and it also seems that the antibodies go away qu

I'm quite sure that's not the average QR experience. Sounds like your phone really sucks at doing QR and those websites they point at haven't been updated in 15 years.

How can you simultaneously state that you prefer an app list (where all apps are listed and thus added automatically) and complain about how apps are automatically added to the Android home screen (which I presume is what you're referr

It's the main text of any new window or tab opened in Incognito Mode. 14px to be exact. That's not small print!

A phone company doesn't have algorithms that decide which calls go through and which don't, or which calls are marked as important and which are not.

I hate to be defending Google on this, but their Incognito Mode repeatedly states that the only thing it does is hide your activity from users on your computer, and explicitly points out that web sites can still see your activity.

That's because the first time you start it, it actually unzips itself to a temporary folder, and then runs from there.

I'm puzzled as to what a phone has to do with .NET in this particular discussion. It's not at all about phones.

Google "xkcd standards" and you'll get there. Most of the time the relevant XKCD comics can easily be linked to one or a few keywords.

Having actually tried to use XAML Islands to get some UWP UI controls into a WPF application, I can say that the experience was absolutely horrible and I ended up giving up and not using the UWP control after all. Truly, truly horrible. Thi

I think lifecycle methods in general, no matter what the framework is, are a suboptimal way of doing things. React works quite differently and shoehorning it into a lifecycle thing was holding it back, or at least that's how I feel. YM

I remember ASP.NET Webforms, and the reason most of the community moved towards MVC-ish frameworks is exactly that most of the time, you ended up shoehorning functionality into different lifecycle methods, which made them much harder to rea

Classes in React are confusing because they aren't actually classes, just something shoehorned into classes. For example you wouldn't write your initialization code in the constructor, you would do it in componentDidMount. Classes

I agree that the lookup map thing looks like very bad advice. I can't see a reason why you'd do something like that. On topic, it has been my understanding that the React team is moving away from classes for a number of reasons. N
