To a degree, I can forgive the use of slim ethernet ports. Now that dual-band wifi and widely compatible (USB-C) docking stations are common, it's not essential to have one at all, for the majority of users

Agreed. BTW, parts of the server are actually written in C. Best thing about Seafile is its syncing performance. Worlds better than owncloud/pydio, and it doesn't choke on large directories.

A "pro" machine shouldn't be making these types of compromises. My last two laptops (ThinkPad 13, Dell 7490) both have the ability to charge either with the built-in charging connector or USB-C.

I'm finding myself using slow charging more as batteries are harder to replace these days. Faster charging produces more heat, degrading lithium batteries faster. And it's just unnecessary if you leave your phone to charge overni

Not an issue in this day and age, IMO. While FWD is more controllable, and safer in the snow, modern stability control systems have done a _lot_ to bridge the gap. My 2006 era RWD car has the manufacturer's optional stability control,

Agreed. Seems like it would either be awfully complex (and expensive), or a jarring experience compared to most trackpads. If you're a trackpoint user, Lenovo's usb/bluetooth thinkpad keyboard offers the same kb+mouse combo i
