Ahem, "don't let the door hit ya, where the good lord split ya" Most of us recognize that YOU think that, however, it is not what many of us think and also we just want to get things done without folks like you stopping

That is even funnier to me than the original post! Even Google's non-existant cancellation reps are terrible at their jobs. Like, Google Lens, which recognizes nothing, and Gemini, which is the worst of everything, THOSE are the things

This. I am not a manager, but I LOVE writing code and solving problems. I would NOT love being a manager.

Same. I have been toying with an idea that I want to turn into a business. I know there are 3rd party attempts to replicate Valve’s stuff, but I would rather use something sanctioned by Valve.

I haven’t had much of an issue if you ignore thunderbolt (I own no thunderbolt devices) Only one USB-C cable I have ever owned was not capable of fast charging, and it was sold by a third party on Amazon.

So many flaws. I want to see the author repeat this across 100TB of random data from multiple clients. He/she/whatever will quickly realize why this feature exists. One scenario I am aware of that uses another filesystem in a clou

That is the fault of the blockers themselves. The one I use ( https://apps.apple.com/us/app/1blocker-ad-blocker/id13655310... ) works extremely well and even uses a local VPN setup for app ad-filtering. Twitter

I'm a long time Ruby/Rails web developer. I stick with it because it has worked well for me. It just keeps getting better every year.

Not on Windows to my knowledge. Using the same headset on both Windows and Linux leads to a very different experience. Windows works fine. Linux has the issue macOS has mentioned here.

I have no clue what websites you are visiting, but the ones I have used typically either do it to disable/customize copy/paste or use it to track your actions. They often make too many assumptions about the browser in general.

No idea of the situation there, but rural areas in our part of the world tap underground sources for water. It gets pumped and filtered on premise. Septic is a big tank with a field up front for dispersing fluids/liquids. Commenter bel

The left earbud dying is a frequent problem. Sometimes I sometimes hear about the right, but usually the left. Even more rarely, both die frequently, which isn’t the real issue…they drain the case, right? (if not ignore the rest of this) Wa

My first gen pros didn’t survive. They still work, but have a high pitched wine. They were already out of warranty so I had to buy a new pair. I did not and will not complain. I have owned over a hundred pairs of headphones/earbuds in

This. Usually if you are looking at tickets closed, that means you are using that as a metric, which is a BAD idea. Ticket lifetimes and movement are more appropriate metrics.

As someone with ADHD I keep things closed unless I am actively using them. I see my wallpaper quite often, especially on the second monitor (I do use the second monitor for things like development, but only if it doesn’t distract.)

IPv6 was the worst idea ever and no one can prove me wrong. The folks that invented it must’ve never had to deal with a mission critical task during a DNS outage, for example.

Oh boy, Windows does the same thing (regarding hidden files to sort out FS stuff), but they hide it (just like Apple). We WSL2 users found out the hard way and Microsoft refuses to offer a solution. Relevant issue: https://github

You are thinking about this wrong. Imagine having a single disk image for 100 Pis. Now imagine having to burn that image to a hundred MicroSD cards, now suddenly you want to update the disk image. As others have said, you can also use PXE,
