That's a fairly normal price. I pay $60/year for Amazon Drive, which has a 1TB limit (no charge for data transfer), that I don't even come close to approaching.

I have been using Arq for years and it has saved me numerous times. I backup to Amazon Drive, which is about $60/year, but it supports most of the major object store providers.

I agree that the centralization of the internet is troubling, but Cloudflare is solving a systemic problem that nobody else is tackling. The DDoS problem was not being solved for anyone except for enterprise customers until Cloudflare came

This is how I do it too, then backups are done through Arq and Amazon. I consider Google Photos as a “share / social” area. I would never entrust masters with Google.

This is especially prevalent in the Google mobile site tester in Firefox. In FF you have to do the Captcha almost every damn time. Switch to Chrome and it stopped immediately for me.

I switched to ZSH a few years ago because some of my coworkers were using it. I never found it useful enough to use it over Bash. So I switched back to Bash. I’d rather have the shell be identical to the one running on the servers I use.

I wouldn’t bother with iptables. I’ve done it before and it quickly gets overrun on any large scale attacks. Cloudflare on your front end will stop a lot of garbage and take the brunt of volumetric attacks, or use nginx/varnish/ha

Maybe this is already in the works, since the enterprise plan has a logging feature, but an integrated logging solution would be nice for the other plans. Cloudwatch isn’t perfect, but logging from a lambda worker to cloudwatch is very easy

Just curious, what is your concern? Is it privacy related? Or does it inhibit consumption of APIs you tried to host with them? I don’t like the header either and I have a public API with Cloudflare but it hasn’t caused any technical issues

Keep escalating. Try emailing Tim Cook if you can’t get results. I had to resort to that once and their executive team reached out and solved everything. I don’t abuse it, but it is needed sometimes.

It doesn’t matter. I’ve been a paying customer of Google (Apps / Mail / Gsuite) for my company. Good luck finding helpful support if you run into any situation slightly outside of the norm. I’ve had my entire company email domain
