Small nitpick but CeDeFi is a term coined by Binance to make them appear more palatable and competitive. Binance is a centralized network so it's a CeFi foundation with all the controls that come with that, but with a DeFi coat of pain

Have you found a consistent way to get color schemes working for vim/tmux when running over mosh? Haven’t tried mosh in a while but this was my biggest gripe, over what is otherwise an amazing mobile experience.

The primary reason why a proof of work implementation for something like bitcoin has a huge environmental impact is because it is a winner take all system. You have thousands of machines trying to do the same thing but only one will get the

Are there any Pi/Nuc style boards one could get to run this on? I’m an old BeOS user and would love to have a little device to play with for nostalgia.

One thing you do get "for free" pretty much is an audit log though. Each event can easily have an ID associated with it in case you need to be able to trace such a thing. Of course you can model this outside of a CQRS system but t

Thinking about micro-services as a scaling solution is only ever looked at from the orchestration perspective for some reason. Most of the lessons there can be applied to scale your code as well so that you can spin parts of it off with eas

This will come across as nit-picky but this: > Calling the Mac Mini “mini” is absurd in 2018. doesn't make much sense. Mini is not an absolute unit of measurement, and the mac mini is still the smallest mac you can buy. The r

Claiming that everyone is worse off because electron apps consume more resources then they would had they been written in a "native" language is only true if the only value you get from an app is low resource consumption. (I use n

Not to mention that Apple has been running their OSs on ARM for years now so it wouldn't exactly be groundbreaking for them. Kind of like how when they switched to Intel they had already has x86 builds running for years prior. It'

Doesn't IPFS solve some of the authenticity issues at least. Not very familiar with it but (from my shallow understanding) if the signatures matches some published version it is guaranteed to be the same file. [1] https://ip

Simliar, used to be part of my daily browsing habits but at some point it suddenly stopped and I haven't really thought about it in at least 4-5 years until today. Was a good source of inspiration, sad to see it go nonetheless.

Not only that, but I think that Apple is feeling the Pro user backlash and are really trying hard to say "sorry, but there is something awesome in the pipeline" where the pipeline is a few months old at most. It takes a while to g

Isn't the IPC difference basically 0 and the 7 series only has slightly higher frequencies due to the optimization cycle? So clock for clock 6 and 7 series CPU should yield the same performance. I should add that the above is the main
