This is like a textbook example of Louis CK’s adage “everything is amazing and nobody’s happy.” Microwaves are great. Amazon will have a Farberware or RCA for $70 to my home in two days - including shipping! What exactly is the problem? No

1. That graph shows adjusted revenues lower than the 90s and early 2000s and even one or two years in the 70s. 2. It’s not a chart of what artists take home, but rather raw top line revenue, and it seems clear from all available evidence th

You would balance the public interest in the revelation against the possible harm. Best guess is they see the harm as minor as 1. It is not revealed who Thiel was informing on and 2. To the extent a target could guess, Thiel is very well eq

Clean home page was definitely a huge part of it: - Google predates widespread U.S. broadband, and even early DSL was not too fast. So cutting bytes made a real difference. -Search was not baked into the browser (search bar etc) so homepage

I had this same question, because wouldn't the mode author for a given language define this? I can't imagine this is the same across literally all modes that involve indentation and/or braces?

If it's just a "glorified curl UI" what's the problem? Just use curl, or build your own, if it's so trivial. You are kicking the tires awfully hard for a solution to a problem you claim is easy.

Fair point, you're right! I still think it's reasonable to argue that's not a "productive" approach, but like I said, that's not my own opinion, I just think it's a reasonable argument.

What you say is true, but it’s also true that the person you are replying specifically made their remarks about productivity - you’re both talking about what is best at work. It seems reasonable to argue that statements that you won’t even

Ad based exploits are not remotely new. Most ads these days have their own javascript- it would be surprising if they couldnt be used to deliver exploits. As other have said, this is a key reason to block ads.
