Just guessing here. Ubuntu has more recent packages since Debian is very conservative by design. Also, Ubuntu has a company backing it which can be of great use strategically as you might collaborate/cross market etc.

In my experience, finding customers without code works only for specific products. Best of luck trying to find customers for stripe or intercom without any code. Better advice is to work on them in parallel.

I have had better luck with sublime when opening very very long lines (think 56k chars). This comes from a sqldump. Even vim was not up to the task.
