I always love the “paranoid fantasy” one because all electrics are spy devices and they are spying on you

It tells an agent what tools are available and the scenarios when they should be called. This does a ton of work when working with agents

Everyone calls it chat. I am technical and even I’ve come around to calling it that because that is what everyone, including very technical people, call the product.

Just this this weekend got a cabin on the Mississippi and went totally no phones or tv. Wife and I spent the weekend reading, doing yoga and playing checkers.

Mcp just wraps the existing calls with a description of when to use them. Why would you write a cli for something like this? And clis generally have a help call but that doesn’t say when to use a tool just what it does

You first authenticate via the phone (you can run an initial api call on phone start,) save session credentials in state on 11labs side and can then pass them back to future tool calls. You can then authenticate via a passcode if you wish

Even with a cli it doesn’t have a nice list of all commands and a nice description of when to call such a tool

Can you give an example of what you’re saying here? Companies spin up and vanish?

It’s quite literally not analogous as breaking up companies has happened a bunch but no one has ever unscrambled an omelet

Sure but I mean the community as a whole. Why has there been allowed to be a reproducibility problem at all? Why has the consensus not always been that without provably reproducible results it’s not to be taken seriously?

There are two possibilities. One is that half the country are total idiots and the people leading them, and leading the country, are also total idiots who only got into power because half the country are, again, complete idiots below avera

Another annoyance is the “genres” in your liked songs. They change seemingly at random and when you select a genre eg country it has the most ass backwards way of grouping songs so I’ll get rap songs playing despite having selected folk or

That’s different as I don’t think anyone needs science to feel the benefits of yoga or breathwork but lots of people want to enact policies based social studies that are not able to be reproduced.

Why do we even accept anything as true without replication by default?

No it isn’t? There is no database and no querying for specific words. An llm reads a big ass block of text and determines if any of those lines are applicable, that is nothing like a database being queried

How does it sound like rag exactly? Rag queries a database and injects the results memory doesn’t do this

Memory isn’t the same thing as rag it’s usually just a text based index of past events and the llm reads it and decides what’s important rather than querying a db

Where does consciousness appear in biology? It’s a philosophical/metaphysical concept so far as I can tell

1. This mindset is a result of American hegemony. Before WW2, before the 90s really, no one thought this was a possibility. 2. Right but if it is dependent on a foreign nation for something vital that means it no longer can confidently ass

In academic and think tank circles it is. Too many people treat political theatre and, frankly, entertainment pieces as reflective of the actual policy debates when they are mass media designed to get clicks.
