Isn't this basically what Apple should have done to avoid their throttling lawsuit? Told their customers to change their behaviors?

Are these photos artificially colored or are these natural colors? (meaning, I guess everything is larger than the resolution of visible light) I've always wondered how these photos get taken. Do people also do videos?

One of the most amazing things I learned recently was that the terracotta warriors in Xi'an were colored as well and met a similar fate shortly after the sculptures were exposed to atmosphere.

I think a lot of difficulty arises in math noation because most people (myself included) read a lot of math but don't actually write a ton to express my own thoughts. I'm decent at engineering math but grinding through problems,

I'm a fan of biographies. The first half of Walter Isaacson's Einstein biography fits this. Helped me appreciate how unobvious certain things were prior to discovery.

If you're into canyoneering, you could just spend a while canyoneering in Zion and camping on BLM outside the park or get one of the walk in spots in the park (which I think you can just keep indefinitely until you decide to check out)

If anyone wants a datapoint, I stop listening to podcasts once they go to Spotify. I use Overcast, and generally don't have the wherewithal to chase content. I'm guessing there are more like me. I was an infrequent listener to Joe

Kind of. The only point of phash is to make comparing images fast and cheap... meaning from a practical standpoint there isn't a ton of useful information in the hash. All you really care about is the final hamming distance between two

Yea, i've used phashs before to find duplicates in image datasets for training neural nets. Mainly as a high level method for cleaning up large image sets.

There is some subtlety that is being left out in the discussion here. Latin American and US producers have a huge incentive to keep others out, so even though it's legal to import in 2021 with the right inspections, importing still req

A bunch of people are pointing out the phytosanitary concerns. For mangos coming from India, they were made legal under Bush. But the problem is the Latin American market has a strong hold on the US mango market and does not want India or o

Are there some downsides to using Gcode or something? Or are some of these other toolchains just different approaches?

Can someone speak a little bit to the software toolchain for something like Axidraw? Is it SVG converted to GCode? I've build some of these types of machines for other pick and place tasks for my own needs, so just curious what in the

Funny, I just found that link myself. I guess it makes sense, there was data and there was a need to comb through it. Seems like little to do with graphics directly, and more to do with being able to manage large amounts of data.

Got it. Not sure how to answer that, some places are just hard to reach. I do know that sometimes roads or trails get built because too many people try to go to certain places and start leaving a footprint. When that happens, government som
