We can have TensorFlow do it...one model to rule them all...there will be neural networks fitting retailers, then there will be adversarial networks deployed by retailers, then NCMs (network counter measure)... the price will be high, since

When will JS programmers pull their head out of the sand and realize that this is nothing new? All this stuff was present in Windows 1.0 and they moved on since. Now we have multi-reactors like vert.x and concurrency models based on process

So you are basically saying that "Don't buy an Audi TT because it is harder to drive than a Mazda?" Not a good idea. I'd replace Python 100 times out of 100 with Clojure.

Not really. You can't comment on this until you tried a lisp. I know that you haven't tried it because if you had you would have known about paredit and how it solves the paren problem.

Brainfuck it unintuitive, but Lisp is. You can learn the lambda calculus in 10 minutes. You can'c tompare the two.

How can you call lisp an inaccessible language? It has less syntax than anything else. It is as simple as a language gets.

I don't see why this is a problem. I don't use themes at all and I have my own look and feel. If you check the docs you will see that overriding the default theme is oretty straightforward.

I haven't used Go or Rust but when I compare them I have a gut feeling that I'd be better off with Rust primarily because Go's build tools are not adequate. What do you think about this?

Yep I agree with your last paragraph. Just look at how Commodore went down the drain despite having superior technology.

Funny. I also have a program named [zircon]( https://github.com/Hexworks/zircon ) which is a text gui library.

This is not a counter-point. This is what I have said: > You just can't do well in some contexts This means that your project is either simple enough that you don't need to know advanced CS or someone on your project actually

I did not say that you have to implement it. You just have to know which tool to use. And in most cases you only need a `Map` or a `TreeMap` or stuff like that.

My thoughts exactly. What a steaming pile of crap...no wonder that the OP has zero public repositories which have contributors...in fact all of the OP's repositories are forks.

While you can get away with only basic algorithmic skills and I also agree with your points about being able to ship/talk to users/etc I think that having decent algorithms & data structures skills is essential for a developer

I read the book several times. I think it is a good read. I did not fell asleep on the Tarkovsky movie I just hit quit after looking at the road scene at the start for 20 minutes. You can try the George Clooney variant it is a bit better. T

A language without a proper stdlib and with programmers who have no idea what the O notation is about has no place in any serious programmer's "to learn" list.
