It was about 5-6 dedicated very focused hours per day, 5 days per week. I didn't have the stamina to go beyond that each day because there's so much learning and the mind (my mind) needed time to absorb the new material.

If you can already code the google one is better only for the fact it has those exercises which by doing them gives you more of those 'a-ha, I get python' moments. It's more learning by doing rather than learning by reading. I just skimmed

The points he brings up applies well to 'older' startup founders. It's hard to quantify but that extra life experience does make one better at negotiating, give more confidence in ones abilities, make you better at BS-detection and so on an

Outside of the large cities infrastructure is almost non-existent. The national highway network is horrible compared to the US, the rail network is even pokier. Hospitals and schools are of a much lower standard as well government just does

While each Chinese character is 'denser' than an English alphabetical letter the analogy that should be drawn is that one Chinese character is closer in equivalence to a whole English word and whenever Chinese characters are strung together
