For what it's worth, the iMac has been able to power a secondary screen for quite some time. Not that's it's a great alternative - Apple has always had a lackluster desktop line the first iMacs took off.

I think that if they can, they will. "Can" being dictated by the market of course. Look at the Mac Pro - arguably the most ignored product line Apple sells, yet it still sells. If people continue buying the non-Retina MBPs, I have no doubt

I thought there was an OS feature that did that. I remember scheduling a reboot nightly at 3am. I loved that phone at the time, but hate it in hindsight.

I was bummed, too, but I can also see why Apple doesn't put as much effort in to the Pros anymore. First off, those machines are meant to have longer lifecycles given their bumped hardware. So when you take that in to account, the biggest p

Sure, they're early to you, but not to the consumers or industry. The adoption cycle applies to a product family, not model. The iPad is not a new device.

Having developed in MT and ObjC (but not yet bit the bullet on RubyMotion), I can concur that this statement is valid. MonoTouch was an emulation, making it at best slow to catch up and at worst a version behind iOS. It also had a fairly fu

A good majority of apps use a hierarchy of views, which is exceptionally natural since we see generations of things everywhere, including our own families. One view is parent to the next, and so on.
