That's the beauty of the NoSQL landscape (not a fan of the term). Each db has a specific quality, and while a general SQL db can be moulded to meet a certain need, there may already a db solution that is perfect for it.

When working with teams what is the problem with just doing "git pull" and "git push". It seems this is more truthful, and merge commits are evidence of what is going on with the repo. Rewriting history might simply appear nicer in the log,

In all seriousness, this is probably true. Marijuana is BC's 2nd largest industry behind construction and ahead of forestry. I believe it contributes over $7 billion/year to our GDP. I'm sure there are articles somewhere to back this up. :)
