Is the web development salary comparable to what you'd be getting paid at a similar level hardware-centric ee/ce job?

Neat concept and a well designed site, I hope you guys get some market penetration as I'm sure this would be a huge burden relief for teachers everywhere. A few suggestions: If I were you I'd make the login button stand out more by having t

Thanks for the feedback. Have you run into any problems or topics in the field that couldn't be self taught?

While people do sell alot of pretty useless stuff on that site, there's also alot of really useful services too. I wish they would do more filtering of the nonsense and get it focused to the more serious stuff, but I guess part of the fun o

Does your current app have any sort of external-facing API built into it? That might be step one would be to implement an API to your server that would allow your iOS app to access the photos. Another option would be to design a mobile vers

Am I reading this right that if, for example, you're a professional photographer, and you backup your photos on Google Drive, they then have a license to print and distribute your photos without your permission (beyond this EULA)?

Being from Texas I've always wanted to do a start up in Austin, but as the article mentions, there's this pervasive notion that you have to be in SF/SV in order to get any real traction or attract any real talent. Is anyone familiar with th

Correct me if I'm wrong, but fluff and entertainment has a much lower barrier to entry than tackling real, tangible problems. Writing software is "free" in that I can sit and code for a few months in my free time, and put out a halfway dece

Out of curiosity, what's Mozilla's motivation for making a new language? Everything I'm reading here in the comments is talking about how this would be a replacement for c/c++, but wouldn't Mozilla be more interested in a language that's mo
