I'm convinced half the ipv6 subreddit is made of people who don't actually like ipv6 and are trying to subvert it. The advice they give sometimes is just insane. "Just get a new ISP bro..." I think a lot of people assume

My ISP is xfinity. They say the same thing but my IPv6 address hasn't changed any more frequently than my IPv4. In my experience it changing isn't any more annoying than my v4 changing so I'm not sure why people still get up

You take the original document and manually retype it into a different file format. Very hard to reverse that.

Don’t “netstat -utan” and “ss -utan” show basically the same thing?

Running a firewall with upnp enabled has always amused me. Might as well just turn the firewall off if you let any machine shoot any hole it wants in it.

Regardless of any shortcomings in the article the general point is valid. Ask your new college grads any networking question beyond the C API and the answers you will receive will amuse and frighten you. I blame most CS curriculums basicall

I have 30 years experience working with computers and I get nervous running a three line bash script I wrote as root. How on earth people hook up LLMs to their command line and sleep at night is beyond my understanding.
