The only way you could be a fan of teams is if you've only ever had to use stuff like cisco connect or lotus notes chat. It really is just terrible. Teams on my window laptop makes the fan go more than running a pretty massive compute

To steelman this, it isn't abnormal for people to get a Bachelors in one thing and a masters or phd in another. Typically the school makes them do some pre-requisite courses for a foundation as part of the masters. I know someone for e

If I buy a machine, then hire a worker to make a widget. And I sell that widget for $20 but pay him $10 is that fair? The machine, shipping, sales, marketing, inventory arent free.

IS this for some kind of HPC cluster? What kind of utilization are you at? For an AI company these GPUs are going to be at near 100% utilization 24/7. These kinds of loads destroy hardware quick.

I am not Chinese, my wife is though. I think, at least from my interpretation of it from being in China and having Chinese family, that something like underage drinking is seen more as a family issue, than a legal issue. What stops the 16 y

I think the big complex FE frameworks are going to go away. After doing work with HTMX and Alpine JS, and Ruby on Rails with Turbo + Stimulus, I am all in on this paradigm. Basic JS, or a micro front end framework is all you really need.

I have to agree with you. Children are adaptable and will rise to the challenge. The west too often prefers to think children are capable of nothing, and have them wallow in an intellectual void.

There seems to be this dream of Tax AI Software that will just do all of the taxes. But other than using AI as a fancy text search, I don't see it happening for a long long time. LLMs can't do arithmetic or count.

Employing labor full time is incredibly expensive in the US. Once you include overhead, taxes, benefits, etc. you can easily be paying 2x wage for a worker. Not to mention buying the goods. So yeah the parts for the guitar might cost X, but

How many workers do we need? TSMC has 80k workers all in. 15-24 there is about 3 million US NEETs. I think that we could have a 10 year plan to get 80k people with EE/CE/NanoTech Eng/ChemEng/etc degrees. Make college fre
