Similar to open sourcing "ugly" code. At some point the benefit of releasing is worth putting out non-perfect work. If there's interest, someone can build on what you've done and fork your progress.

I think being a good CEO involves many traits. Obviously he had the wrong impression of where Pebble stood in the marketplace and where the company was headed (ie. he didn't foresee the fitness trend, or thought they could successfully

Before this generation of Apple products, I found their product shortcomings so minor that I wouldn't consider switching. I think I'll always favor apple products but I'm definitely loving them less than I always have. - If y

Anecdotally, among my (20 something year old) friends, the iPhone used to be a must-have for many reasons; now, it's only a must-have for imessage. If android phones could send "blue texts" than I'm sure many would switc

They admit in the article that they picked up javascript over the weekend. I credit them for open sourcing it rather than waiting until it's perfect code, which would result in it never being released.

I think the iOS "unsubscribe" banner could be adding to the chaos. Not sure about this exact situation, but I've been caught in mailing lists where people instinctually hit the unsubscribe prompt which just sends an email wit

I really like how the author posted the fake pricetag before spending time implementing payment processing - easy way to verify people will pay for it, low cost of experimentation. I've heard of other companies using similar strategies

What are the best ways for hardware startups to show traction pre-launch? We feel like we have a compelling prototype, but are worried that a lack of pre-sales/press/etc. will be a red flag.

But it's not the publishers process or business model that is causing the problem - it's the process of filling ad space that is broken. Sure, you could pick one ad network and micro monitor it, but you wouldn't make enough m

It's not that simple. At any one time, a publisher can be serving ads from a few exchanges, a few different private sellers, and custom built ads for brands. And these all are served in different combinations across several different a
