Good read - thanks for sharing. I quite liked this: 'Padmasambhava said that when a stick is thrown to a dog, the dog will chase the stick. A dog’s gaze follows the object, the stick. The lion gazes steadily at the source, the thrower.

No, words do not hurt. I don't let words hurt me. You control your feelings and emotions. Its part of being a complete, mature adult. It is your responsibility to not let someone else's words hurt you and define you. Its called de

When you saw the iOS apps doing this, did they display the red "Recording" indicator bar at the top?

Facebook has a feature that allows to detect what you're watching or listening to when you post a status update. No secret or conspiracy there.

You post the same thing on every Amazon post. I understand you had a bad experience but it does seem like you are fairly upset at Amazon and have an axe to grind.

The tech crowd (at least on HN) didn't see through the cover-piece...the comments here were overwhelmingly along the lines of "I knew it! Horrible environment". A lot of confirmation of existing anti-Amazon bias.

Which country? Looking at the UK, the 2015 Range Rover Vogue doesn't feature any automatic steering. Just Auto Cruise Control ( http://www.landrover.co.uk/vehicles/range-rover/option-and-a... )

Correct, that statement is just for cover. You don't really have to keep your hands on the wheel at all.

It actually doesn't though - it's just a CYA legal sentence thrown in.

Mercedes' version requires the driver's hand to be on the wheel during steering. If not detected within 14 seconds it is disabled. Tesla's version (despite their CYA language) requires no hands on the wheel, UNLESS the system

No need to defeat the system. It doesn't require hands on the wheel all of the time. Only in the case where the system can't see the road lines.

It only prompts the driver and turns off if the system can no longer reliably track the lines in the road OR track the car in front of you.

The hands must be on the wheels part is a CYA statement. There are many videos released today that show that you really do not have to have your hands on the wheel. Mercedes' system requires driver input every 14 seconds.
