We run Rancher[1], which is open source, across multiple AWS regions using a single ELB endpoint for container orchestration into different environments. You can use the stock AWS AMIs for the instances and Rancher also provides RancherOS A

Using GPG more. After all the recent email leaks and privacy breaches, encryption and verification of plaintext communications is more vital than ever. If only it didn't have such a steep learning curve.

I'm surprised I don't read more about Rancher qurg everyone focusing on k8s. Not only can Rancher use k8s for scheduling, but mixing and matching environments with different scheduling technologies is extremely powerful instead of

Vault looks like a winner for managing environment variables and secrets for container orchestration. Rancher is adding support for it in the near future [1], and confd already has it integrated [2]. IMHO Hashicorp has a good track record o

Github pages didn't show up on my radar until recently, but it's extremely simple to setup a basic blog using Jekyll. You get static hosting, a readable DNS name, ability to use a custom DNS domain name, Github interrogations, and

Mostly because many job sites (greenhouse.io and lever.co) ask for a twitter link along with LinkedIn and Github. I've found the more interesting you can make yourself when applying, the more likely you will get a follow up interview.

+1 for Rancher. As a in-house container management platform it's extremely simple to get setup and makes managing container stacks effortless. Combined with Watchtower it's a potent container solution.

To bad they're older 32-bit ARMv7 cpus. Ant serious ARM computing needs to use aarch64 for any type of serious scaling and performance. Glad to see they support Docker on them, that's one of the killer apps for ARM systems.

Good to see more of the arm64 port on there. Hopefully it is fully developed this time. I was excited last year seeing arm64 in the 1.4 notes, only to be disappointed after looking into it more. https://twitter.com/maver
