This sounds like something that you should not take any advice offered for free over the internet. There are a lot of nuances in employment law and location specific parts. Constructive dismissal and furlough are some terms you can research

And it includes a ui to make stacked diff reviews better. If only github lands played better I would be done. I’m looking forward to the planned server and sparse options being brought inline with what the internal tools were.

Ignore OTP for the most part. Just write good code that works at one level at a time. Then when you hit something that needs OTP I send them towards Designing Elixir Systems with OTP https://pragprog.com/titles/jgotp&#x

Some of the 1.7 stuff has an alert banner that pops up when the connection is broken. I think that could really help. However I haven't put that in our app as I have seen other issues of flakey connection reconnect issues, and I would

100% this. I started with it solo and I was able to achieve what would have been very hard for a three person team with the standard js app + api app + backend app.

I would recommend Petal: https://petal.build/ It's what I used for quite a while and I think it's the most comprehensive currently. We're building two different UI's that share a common design language s

I don't think that 1.7 is going to really have bandit fully supported on launch: https://github.com/phoenixframework/phoenix/pull/5071 Once it is supported though, I will be on that for sure.

Correct. You write a moduleJSON. So this is about what we have for one of our controller/views: defmodule MyWeb.SystemStateJSON do def index(%{summary: summary}) do %{data: summary} end end

LiveView has been pretty great. Mostly it's just a couple of `handle_event` methods away and we have a fully reactive UI. I haven't seen any scaling issues for LiveView. Under the hood there's a websocket that push and pull e

I don't think it's a clear cut as you make it out to be. Tortious interference is a common law remedy that might make Github/MS liable. If I induce you to break a contract with someone else they can come after me for damages.

Unique constraints have nothing to do with transactions. There's no promise that all columns that you run a transaction on will have a unique constraint. Try the same thing with no constraint. You should see the transaction fail but no

Next time you think about distributing git, you should take a look at the combination of jgit and a distributed key value store. A little while ago I spent a night and I was able to get a fully distributed git http server up and running. I

Same. Right now rust feels pretty isolated on the network. There's no great RPC support. No thrift, grpc, etc. The http libraries are good for low level, unsecured, stateless services. However they lack lots of more complex features.

Does it feel to anyone else like they are procrastinating on modules? C++ has been thinking about it for a very long time. Yet the actual result is a generic "soon."
