Disgusting. Browsing the web from CA is now like browsing from EU: just extra clicks on cookies nags before you can access any site. No consumer benefit at all. My data is still everywhere any constantly shared as before, and the issue aren

When you config git you set your email and name. You can change the config per git repo, so first thing first make sure all the repo you want with your alias are set up correctly. This way you don't leak your info via commit. As for Gi

My crypto dashboard: https://priceeth.github.io I recently rewrote it to learn svelte. No joking, I prob refresh it 10+ times/day since when I built it back in 2016. And I'm pretty confident I'm the only user.

No idea tbh. I haven’t seen any reliable numbers in literature and N=2^26 is pretty big/unheard of. I guess we’ll see results in a few months.

FIDO is strictly better: with “password” you share your email + password with the server. If you use the same password on another site, the server knows your password. You may trust the server, but in case of a leak you’re doomed. With FIDO

On your FIDO key there's no data stored, not even the keys to connect to fb. When fb makes a request the (private) key is derived from the master secret (the only thing stored) and the signature is made.

Are you sure paying customers are only paying because of the pro features? There's not enough info to make any assumption, but often times companies want the convenience of a cloud-hosted solution and/or want to pay for support&#x

I’m not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if 2 sites can link the same user/hardware device? The answer is mostly no. FIDO essentially replaces a password (shared secret between client and server) with public key cryptogra

At solokeys we built an open source fido2 implementation, actually two: one in C and a newer one in Rust. To emulate a security key you could write a kernel module that exposes a usb device (assuming you want to use the key with an unmodifi
