I’d loose access to a bunch of services (temp I think I could still access via my watch, but never actually tested it). For all critical services like gmail/github I use security keys, and I have multiple of them.

I personally use Authy, free, without cloud sync. When I upgrade my iphone (typically every year) all codes are in the new phone. As easy as it should be. Does anyone know what other apps “survive” phone upgrade, maybe not just iphone but a

The humanoid is $20k-ish without hands. Each hand currently costs another $20k (and not sure if these are available to everyone or only for research).

I don’t particularly buy the 2-3% reduction in fees, that seems a way to get merchants adoption now. In future I expect to see services built on top of stables, for example reversible transactions, and whoever will build these services will

Try rectangle if you’re on mac. It’s a window manager and you can config hot keys to move windows around. For example I keep my large monitor split in 3, with a window in each third. I know it’s not exactly what you asked, but prob the best

JS/TS could be useful if you plan to do any front end work, even just for small demos of your DS/ML work.

If they don’t tell what they’re doing, nobody knows. This includes prospect customers, target investors, potential hires, etc. SEO could be a reason but more often than not blog posts are not optimized and/or are on a different domains

I don’t know about the job market. As for use of rust in embedded products, we use it in solokeys and nitokeys (both hardware security keys). We codevelop a framework called Trussed: https://github.com/trussed-dev/truss

Instead of going up in abstraction, I think it’d be nice to have a lang that tries to go down, more coherent with the hw, without “historical” assumptions. My pet peeve is multiplication: u64*u64=u128. true on any modern hw, true in math, f

Hackernoon, substack or medium are the best to bootstrap your readership. If you already have a following through other social media, I second jekyll on github pages or wordpress. Or, just look at what the top bloggers use and follow along.

Imo the best solution is a js web app or a C/C++ app. For js this is what I have in mind. 1) You set and forget it, ie you work on it now or for a few years but eventually you’ll stop developing it and just let it live. 2) if the host

Open hardware, maybe. It’s hard because it’s hardware, but generally speaking people are happy to pay for a finished product vs build themselves (which is also more expensive without economy of scale). Until you reach the scale of an Arduin
