After being in beta for almost 4 months and a ton of great feedback from HN, we've finally launched Taurus. We're still looking for ways to improve the product so any feedback or comments are of course welcome.

I always remembered this as being "invalid" HTML, but a quick Google search turns up nothing. Can anybody shed some light?

I've been asked that I avoid using classes, because my boss didn't understand OOP (LAMP stack).

Sorry, I suppose I should have just linked to the landing page at the end of the article there (now amended). Taurus allows users to create product tours using just a few lines of JS, the bookmarklet loads the tool onto the demo page.

I once started at a job where their last programmer had just quit. When I started, my new boss explained to me that I had to check out files by telling him which ones I needed and we updated the production server with me emailing him the mo

On the contrary, I think icons have become indicative of actionable text or a button. Just today there was an article on HN that criticized Windows 8 of being too minimalistic-- it was hard to understand at first glance what was merely a la

I don't misplace my wallet enough to warrant an extra 3.8mm. In fact, I classify losing your wallet as a minor annoyance for most people than anything else (I've certainly never been as upset as the man in the video). If people were really

Sure thing. The problem we're attempting to address is not necessarily the HTML/CSS/Javascript component of creating a tooltip, but rather the creation of a system and its continued maintenance. When we hand rolled our own product tour code

We've given the popups the ability to trigger JS events and we will be adding the ability to trigger popups with JS events as well. Could you send me an email (ebzlo@ebzlo.com)? I'd be more than happy to send you an invite immediately if we

This is pretty cool. We're less intensive than this, but we try to make the whole product tour setup very WYSIWYG. From what I saw, they do a neat job of delivery the full product-tour-package, but at the cost of engineering effort.

When we worked on a previous project, bootstrap was something we based our product tour off. Joyride, similarly, accomplishes the same deal with a little more fluff. However, there were a few things that were tedious. - Keeping track of who
