The article barely touches on the subject, but the bridge was really unnecessary, or necessitated only by the nonsensical urban design surrounding the university. The student housing is not only on the opposite side of a gigantic road from

UberX prices have done nothing but increase in San Francisco for years. The minimum fare went from $5 to $7, the service fee from $1.35 to $2.20, etc.

The parents at my kids’ school talk about “trying” to get their kids to eat right. I just dont get it. You want them to eat something? You give it to them! If you don't want them to eat something then don't put it on the table. Th

I have a spray bottle that I bought to clean windows, because it can shoot a stream about 20 meters which is great. It is also labeled "sprays upside-down!" which is really misleading. I thought it sprayed in any orientation but

I've worked with ECMP routers where you can inform that router you'd like new flows to be sent elsewhere while existing flows continue to be sent to their established endpoints. JunOS for example has this feature.

Even in that case you don't need graceful in-place restarts. If you have multiple replicas of the load balancer and ECMP from higher on your stack, all you need is for your balancer process to 1) remove itself as a destination for new

This kind of thing is foreign to me because I can't imagine writing an application, to run in the cloud (as I always do) where I care if a single instance has some downtime. I always rely on something at a higher level proxying my tra

The deficiency of Tesla AP has been abundantly clear to anyone with eyes, for a long time. Only fingers-in-ears Musk fans cannot see that.

Musk prefers to lie to the public and benefits from the disintermediation of the media that various Internet distribution channels have allowed. Tesla often makes clearly false statements. SpaceX, when part of their heavy lift rocket crashe
