Circle CI does let clients access the machine IIRC you can SSH into the host if the job fails and tinker around to debug issues.

Yes exactly, HTML document using whatever templating language you want (or even client-side JavaScript framework since Chrome can handle that too) and then output a PDF.

I am glad they delete data when an account is closed. I wouldn't want 1Password to keep my account around after I deleted my account. Maybe they should have a more lenient length of time to keep the account active when the card on file

I get easily lost jumping through layers of code written by corporate developers in an afternoon. I generally don't have problems jumping through layers of popular, well documented and single-purpose third-party libraries.

Not necessarily true. I've seen many SPA apps where the API calls that get made when you navigate between pages are slow too. So subsequent pages are slow also in addition to the first page.
