It’s just calling APIs on the actual monitor, right? Or a service that listens to the monitor? Feels like low risk unless the watch gets out of sync (but easy enough to change the code to stop the watch from showing old data if that happens

Was the external DOGE organization, as previously described, supposed to have a digital modernization component? It seemed like more of a project to ‘cut expenses’, like an external GAO. The silly part of me wants to say they picked USDS be

I would doubt they made a build of the OS without webkit, or else you’d have a OS without captive portal or eShop support. Feels annoying.

There’s a shebang now. as of PEP 722 you can declare dependencies in a comment at the top of a single file script that a package manager can choose to read and resolve. uv has support for it: https://docs.astral.sh/uv/g

As you say, it has gotten a lot easier, and nyc is the easiest out of the systems I've used recently. You tap your phone, any credit card or a card you get with cash (replacement for metrocard), and the gate opens while they take your

Sort of. "Locked in" is a strong word, considering Redis will run on AWS just fine, either by buying their product or spinning up a couple EC2s and `docker run redis` (which is allowed under the license since you aren't resel

That random “J” at the end of the messages brings me back to mail circa 2010. As I recall, iOS also didn’t render Outlook’s smileys right, leaving a bunch of Js in mail from my Mom. (For the ones who ‘missed’ it: https://devblogs
