Here’s a deck that describes some of this (2006!): https://archive.nanog.org/meetings/nanog37/presentations/ala... I never thought about the scale of their internal network. It’s nuts.

So it can make VoIP calls from your work phone number. Now that nobody has a desk phone, such a thing is needed, especially if you don't want to pay for cell phones for your employees but do want them to get calls.

No. It's meant for giving user's access to their personal (physical, not VDI) desktop or for giving access to a pool of physical desktops to people to share. It competes with RDP more than TeamViewer.

This is only if you buy through a partner, which isn’t necessary for most small businesses who aren’t getting volume discounts. In those scenarios, it probably always made more sense to buy through the admin portal.

Microsoft provides Linux and macOS builds (I use it on macOS whenever something doesn’t work right in Firefox, which is thankfully rare). If the reason you’re not using Windows is a Microsoft allergy though, that doesn’t help. Ungoogled Chr

It’s Java and Tomcat, so should work fine on Windows. I’d highly suggest using Linux + Docker in a VM or something though, it’ll be a way faster setup (configuring Guacamole manually is a pain in the rear, there’s good Docker containers out

Oddly, there's certain things in Azure that don't work with the credits feature, like spot instances. I'm not sure why, but it's awesome for not blowing up my bank account because I did something wrong.

Humorously, using tools built into Windows 10 and 11 now, you can open a PowerShell window, type winget install Google.Chrome, and never open Edge once if you don't want to.

This looks to be (based on the very cryptic documentation which references other vendor software) a way of "modernizing" Z System software to run in AWS. They reference a "Mainframe Modernization Runtime" which recompile

I forked the repo with the intention of doing this a couple months ago. The default Windows runner for Actions doesn’t have enough free disk space to compile Chromium (at least, given the build instructions the project provided). Given it t
