Not unusual in environments with security requirements, as many places don't want code leaving the office/datacenter if they can help it. Some places do it for performance reasons too, as they can just pay $X per hour/month t

No, I'm guessing (outside of it costing dev time) it's because it would require the JIT private entitlement, making it not sideloadable by developers or with enterprise accounts.

They covered that in the original blog post, as a ton of their internal devs liked their current setup. They ended up writing a little command line utility that would let you SSH into your codespace (spinning it up if necessary), so you cou

There will be a session posted tomorrow from Apple on how to use their sample to run a Linux VM with Rosetta support. I wonder if the sample on this page will do the trick by itself? https://developer.apple.com/documentation

But I wonder if you could use the modified version the author posted with AltStore (or plain old Xcode signing) to get virtualization support on the M1 iPads which don't require kernel modifications. I'd pay $100 a year for a deve

It’s worth noting that said podcast is (or was, at least) #1 on Patreon in terms of number of people paying money to the creator(s). I bet that makes it really popular on Spotify, and if you have explicit content turned on, that’s probably

I’m not a PM, but I’ve been in the room during those conversations. Granted, I’ve never had to rely on a ton of native extensions (at least in a business context, personal stuff for sure). It’s just like any other dependency. Sometimes you
