Going to be honest, I have trouble seeing how this is good. If you feel the need to pay someone to do it, it probably shouldn't be done like that.

In a similar tangent, if you want to bypass age checks without logging in, you can use the embed link for a video. For a link like this (this one is not actually age restricted or NSFW): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScVi_

I do think that your keyboard can help not only mitigate health risks associated with typing all day, but can make the actual act of writing code go from annoying to enjoyable. What works for you is a subjective question (I don't think

Your point certainly stands, a lot of privilege escalation occurs because of sudo configurations like that. The idea that fine-grained access control necessarily implies that you're using something like Ansible or Jenkins for everythin

Sudo provides access control for root access, it's definitely not useless. Sudo allows for logging and locking of root actions. Those settings can be configured irresponsibly and lead to compromise for sure, but the main purpose is cre

Should developers use Gentoo? I've used various different operating systems in the past but have never given Gentoo a try before. I've heard most of the complains about compilation are overstated (binary packages, optimizations, e

I see the point in this, but if you're going to automate something it should be automated right! In most cases, getting specific people's faces in shot isn't a good idea in general. If you're getting five people's f

This is rather silly, you could always draw solid colors over someone's face and it works better than blurring. A rather frivolous update, from a software standpoint. The sentiment is nice.

One big thing that I think people can do is start saving police footage. It's pretty easy to do but can be especially helpful. Even just seeding a torrent of that is a way to passively help, I think. I was also wondering about this que

Police overreach is a real problem, but writing about how Racism isn't the root of the problem and posting it right now is pretty tone deaf.

The point of social networks then is the same as it is now, to host content that does not break the terms of service of the site. Anything further than that is extra. Just leave it as things were and people are fine. We've been saying

It's really not the same to equate using a medium that is standard and normally does not record and using a non-standard medium and also explicitly choosing to not log conversations. The explicit choice can mean a world of difference.

That's a fair point, I didn't want to come off like it was ever a great choice. I definitely would argue that people are more aware now than they used to be, so thanks for clarifying that.

SHA-256 is still secure for plenty of applications, but for awhile it's been regarded as a suboptimal choice for password hashing. SHA512 is probably overkill.

The thing about this though is that age labeling is not the only thing that's going on, it's not just internal. Age labeling when done by others (recruiters, company policy, etc) is age discrimination, and can actually prevent ent
