Both search and ads are from Bing.

About Ecosia, none. The ads are from Bing though, and they get user data.

Microsoft ain't doing it for free, and they are the ones providing the ads. So whenever Ecosia plants trees, that's because Microsoft made money as well.

This is litterally a wrapper around bing. The problem is that the ads are also from Bing — Ecosia doesn't track its users, Bing does.

Funny. Chapter 24 of Paul Graham's On Lisp is about implementing Prolog in Common Lisp.

Even when not having monetary constraints, it's probably better for everybody to upgrade only when needed :)

The post does mention that it was possible already to build your own Firefox for Wayland, and that's what Fedora does. The point is that the “official” package from mozilla.org now supports Wayland out-of-the-box :)

That's what I thought. And yet, object-oriented programming is quite common in many Lisps.

Are you giving Lisp as an example of functional or object-oriented programming? I mean, Common Lisp has had CLOS since at least 1984.

I wouldn't say that object oriented is completely opposed to functional, though.

I forgot something! Actually, this isn't the @apply I was thinking of. Tailwind comes with its own @apply: https://tailwindcss.com/docs/functions-and-directives/#apply

Tailwind is basically Tachyons + a bunch of features. Last time I migrated a project from Tachyons to Tailwind, it was quick and painless.

In 2018 with postcss, you can have the following: .resources { @apply centered wide-margins light-bg; } And that's exactly what Tailwind is about, btw! Sadly, as you point, it's not vanilla. It works, though.

> The more symbols used, the less it looks like a human-consumable language I read this as “the more symbols used, the more it looks like mathematics”. I guess this is really a matter of personal taste :)

Of course CL is more advanced than Emacs Lisp, it's a very interesting platform! I have grown tired of some of its aspects though, like those endless lists of possible keyword arguments. But this is just me nitpicking about elegance.
