This is really nice way of putting this. Logging in/out is authorization (and authn) so generally if you want to revoke access (log people out), JWTs are possibly the wrong choice (the thing people use JWTs for 99% of the time)

This is actually a decent use of JWTs (and generally I'm in the JWT=='bad' camp). These things don't ever need to be revoked and issuing a JWT means they don't have to store it in their own database. Also 3rd part

Probably means "socially problematic" because there is real orthodoxy here. If you speak badly JWTs in an interview... that's probably problematic.

This "the invalidated JWTs list is smaller" argument really doesn't hold water. Size of cache is a red herring (unless you are facebook or something). 99.99% of the time the most important variables are simplicity and sec

"Yes but then ... why use jwt at all, you could just save a classic session (with random token) in that cache as well". JWTs add complexity and have zero benefit. The author never said it can't be made to work, obviously it

Because the content is also interesting, provocative, and 100% correct. Why are you attacking the character of the witness instead of the substance of the testimony?

Hallelujah! I've been saying this for years and people looked at me like I was insane. JWTs are one of the biggest cult/hipster scams of the last few years. GraphQL everywhere is another one (like JWTs, it has its uses but peopl

This x1000! Type guards are a joke and real runtime type checking could be so easy if they prioritized it. Yes you can use zod but then you have to define your types through zod which isn't as neat. I actually googled for this just y

The failure is a failure of adherence which is always the root issue with obesity. Walking probably actually does work well too. The relevant question is "which one are people more likely to actually do?" And this does seem prom

I experience this same benefit from a walking desk. I thought it would be distracting but somehow that 10% of my brain being occupied by walking actually makes it way easier for me to focus otherwise.

They will almost certainly experience a mass exodus of their top engineering, design, and leadership talent. They'll never come back from that. So it isn't that figma will turn to crap overnight, but over years it is guaranteed

Chaos has a cost too. You need to weigh that against the cost of testing. And both chaos and testing cost exist on a very broad continuum. For very trivial prototypes, spending even a few hours on tests obviously outweighs any benefits.

Just want to comment that I strongly disagree with all the commenters recommending no framework at all. If you want to make badass modern software, you need to invest in learning a framework that will help you do that. React has a learnin

Might make sense to just start with an existing rich text editor (with a friendly license) that you fork. You'll have your own needs but a large part of any editor is common to every other editor. Or maybe you could just spend a few

IMO you really have no choice but to use React because of React Native. Also, since you are somewhat new to this domain, you want to stick with the pack . Doing so will give you access to limitless 3rd party tools, libraries, etc and com

People's beliefs on this topic are extremely divergent. I personally have developed a sensitivity to gluten so I really have no choice, but I also happen to believe it is bad for your long-term health.
