The usual poll is drafted in a way that almost everyone answers yes (usually by pro independence newspapers). Something like: "would you approve the vote on a referendum agreed with Spain?" Otherwise, it's pretty obvious peop

There was an article about a small change in cattle diet that vastly reduced it's methane emissions. Something related to an Australian algae. Here, I found it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.

It seems they're getting parsing times 1,000x slower than any other parser, 10,000x slower than simdjson. The complaint is understandable, but ironic :)

Because they're still small applications and not what everyone is looking for. Just like other technologies first got to the market in some small niche applications, and it took decades to fully realize their potential.

We already have some graphene applications in the market. We may not get a graphene rope, just like we don't have a nuclear boosted car, but that doesn't mean there are not practical applications in the market and others expected

Bernie's a genius and super humble guy. I was lucky enough to work close to him during his last months in Switzerland before he left to NY. He's inspiring.

It seems the total value Illumina can extract from DNA tests will be limited. Doesn't a 100$ test put a cap of 100$ per person? Once sequenced, you don't need to sequence your DNA again, right?
