This. They consistently ignore user feedback on problems with their ui. It’s really a mess and slow as hell.

Probably correct. I was coming out of my house and saw a lady about 7-8 houses away. Her dog was just finishing up and then she looked around. When she saw me, she dipped into her pocket for a bag. It was absolutely hilarious. She proba

Switched to Apple Notes recently. Used to use org mode, but the apps on iOS ... just bad. But, I use different things for different situations. For work, I use text files in a "howto/" subdirectory of a main repo.

I feel the same about dog owners who bag their dog’s crap and then leave the bag in the middle of the sidewalk.

This is why I make lists. Of everything. Checklists for technical processes (work and personal). Checklists for travel. Little "how to" docs on pretty much everything I do that I'm sure I won't remember past a week.

I read a year or more ago that the art of making glass eyes is being lost to the world. I don't remember the reasons, except that it's a difficult task and not enough people are learning it and maybe that insurance companies aren

Can you expand on the last sentence? Your comment was quite interesting. It’s pretty remarkable how long it took for the optician to get it.

I think you overestimate the degree to which those 55M people follow any news. My mother's housekeeper has a green card and has zero clue what's going on in US politics. She recently went home to Mexico with absolutely no worrie

Absolutely. Every single one of those 55M people will think twice about every aspect of their life. It will be debilitating for many of them. How long can support for this last?

That may be, but our use of DB was 1/1000 of what we do in a month with OpenAI and the bill we racked up was $3,000 in 1 day. We talked with them and because we freaked out and deleted the widget (whatever the connectors are called) t
