It is a very narcisistic perspective. Which makes sense if you consider the author.

Wow, hyped for this. I picked up this little book from my University library once, and it was a fantastic read.

Because writing SQL is a drudge, you will write some helpers here and there. Before you know it, you have your own buggy non type safe SQL builder. This is vastly superior.

What if I just buy a novel for the feeling it gives me to buy it, and how pretty it looks on my shelf?

Sorry but this is BS. I've worked at places where people knew the standard by heart. If ever doubt some people actually 'know C++', visit the #c++ IRC channel on Libera.

In the Netherlands, there is virtually no societal difference between people that are in a long-term relationship and live together, and married people. To the point that people call themselves husband and wife if they technically 'jus

They can proclaim Elm not dead all they want, but if you take a look at the main repo the last commit was over two years ago, and it was to set up an auto reply to PRs that they probably would not get a response.

It's a shame Elm was abandoned. Impossible to justify for serious projects at this point.

If you want the control and low overhead of Vite but don't want to implement everything a framework gives you, vite-plugin-ssr might be interesting for you. It is basically Next.js as a do-one-thing-well Vite plugin (its slogan). http

It is not a stretch it is just plain wrong. C++ has good C interoperability (most C is even valid C++) and most compilers that support compiling one also support the other, but I can't take seriously anyone that refers to "C/

On a server level users can be reported by users and banned by admins. Mastodon is federated, and individual servers (or even individual users on servers) can choose not to federate with particular servers.

Actually, you can just run 'npm init vite', choose a plain js starter, and make something 'meaningful and useful' with an awesome dev server and great bundler once you are ready to go live.
