Alright this might be a stupid question, but if packing is about the order in which the fields are arranged... shouldn't the compiler optimize that? I mean, it does much more complex optimizations already doesn't it?

Actually, before Ubuntu's Unity we had the Unity distribution ( http://unity-linux.org ). Granted it was never popular, and it definitively isn't now, but still.

I'm going to make a guess and say that this is going to sell just because it's Google branded.

There has been a lot of discussion over the past few months about this. The voting machines were created by a private company (MSA). The code was supposedly "open" but it was nowhere to be seen. The machines basically print an ele

I wrote something similar in Go about one year ago for my IRC bot. I never thought it'd be useful for anyone, but well, I guess it can :P

Wow this was really nice. Although, as a non-webdev, the amount of code needed for this surprises me. I guess that's all abstracted with JS and CSS frameworks, but still.

I've never had a backlighted keyboard. But I must admit, sometimes when it's dark I have to look closely at the keyboard to find the key I want, at least to orient myself when I first touch the keyboard.

I've never really considered Unreal Engine. I'm more of a hobbyist making small 2D games, recently picked up Unity (been using SFML and LibGDX before) to make some small games. I guess UE doesn't really target small games? Wh

My only issue with the series is that he uses WinAPI instead of something more... sane, like SDL or OpenGL; which makes the code much more obscure and low level, and the code not portable at all. I guess, however, that I could learn a thing

> such a shitty internet service as in Spain over their network Actually from my experience that was pretty good compared to uh... Telefonica in Argentina. And then people complain about Comcast!

I agree, 90% of my serious daily communication (i.e. not IRC) is done via Whatsapp. I can't explain how horribly annoying is to have to pull out my cell phone and write in that tiny screen every time I want to send a message.

As I said, it depends. Right now I'm young and eager to go work at a big company or a startup. Maybe 30 years from now I'll just want to come back and rest, who knows?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bitcoin requires you to go arround with a cellphone and internet 24/7 in order to make payments. That might be a thing in Buenos Aires but definitively not in the rest of the country. Bitcoin as nation
