It would be nice if source were provided, so that we can do a whitebox analysis. I don't have confidence that there is one single point of failure here, given that the site has already been compromised multiple times.

... Yikes. The advice in this post is unfortunately naive. It's dangerous to allow arbitrary object attribute key content. Some object properties in JavaScript must be treated as reserved. Allowing arbitrary access to key names has

There's resistance for things you'd imagine should be no-brainers. For example, an expansion of the Stevens Creek bike path is encountering major resistance: http://www.cyclelicio.us/2015/sunnyvale-nimbys-thr

Sure! The point I'm trying to make is: pick good representatives. It's laudable to help the needy. Make sure the representatives you pick have the will and capability to do good with the resources you're sending.

You assume that it's not dangerous even if it doesn't go to folks who would be helped. I disagree: the possibility of contributing to frauds is not harmless. There is also opportunity cost: if you've donated to someone who

Communities can be effective in helping folks learn how to program. You don't have to go at it alone. If you're interested in learning programming with Python, for example, look into the Tutor mailing list. https://ma

I would agree that this is a major flaw, if the "scope" were unrestricted. But most of these systems support a capability-style model where you can say: "I give you permission to let me log in as myself, for this particular

I don't know your audience, so perhaps this makes sense. I don't want to remember or keep track of yet another password for a random web site. If the web site requires login and doesn't support Facebook/Twitter/G+

Wait, this can't be right for purely technical reasons: what would this to do a string containing vertical tab characters? Such strings are illegal in XML. I see nothing in the "JSONx Conversion Rules" that addresses the pro

About the modulus operator comment; I do not understand what you mean yet. Can you elaborate? For example: http://play.golang.org/p/0AnTQXlR8E appears to demonstrate the operator, unless you mean something different?

We are getting regular fliers in the mail saying to conserve water. The call is being made. But consumers are often bad listeners when told not to consume.

I'm not quite sure I agree with the for loop example specifically for Racket. See: http://docs.racket-lang.org/guide/for.html At least conceptually, for loops work very much like that in the other languages. You

In Google search, select the "Search tools". You can set a custom range, and that effectively allows you to search the index from the 20th century.
