On one hand, I agree that on the surface, this looks complex, if you don't read it. But on the other hand, just read the code. It's not complex. You drill down into a tokio namespace. You make a builder object. You unwrap it. Th

Then use the code I posted if you don't want a helper library. Or just wrap it in your own function if it's too complex for your tastes.

This article is by a Rust contributor. I'm sure they want to see Rust be more widely adopted as well. Async is pretty great, but it's not perfect, and in some situations its shortcomings cannot be worked around easily.

> However, if a library uses async, you have little choice but to make your whole project async. This isn't true. I'm writing an application right now that is mostly sync, but has a small amount of async code in it. It's e

I have plenty of gripes about async in rust, but one of the things it's surprisingly good at is isolation of async runtimes. There's no reason you can't have multiple tokio runtimes, or transient runtimes, in your applicati

Facebook was pretty good about this on the infra teams. No, not perfect, but a lot better than the other big companies I was exposed to. If anything, big companies are better about tech-debt squashing, and it's the little tiny companie

I absolutely adore Obra Dinn, but its got the replay ability of a really, really good crossword puzzle. But not all is lost - I get almost as much enjoyment out of watching other people play through it and uncover the mystery.

As far as I'm aware, we do not have the math needed to do what you're imagining. CSG requires a lot of numerical methods even for relatively simple operations.
