> The solution there being to stop patronizing anybody who does that, which everybody should already be doing as a general principle. If only. Every single major US bank and card company does this. It's terrible.

It's not broken, you're just doing something horribly forbidden and bannable and LinkedIn would love to make automating your browser a felony. NB: This is mildly in jest, but also not really.

This depends heavily on type of connection. 100/100 should be bare minimum, yes, but for example Comcast coaxial business-class is still like 5-10mbit up.

Can you explain what you mean by other browsers? What other browsers are there? As far as I can tell, Firefox is the only remaining rendering engine that isn't Blink/Webkit-based.

The type of people that have adblocking on likely would not have clicked / loaded / seen the LinkedIn ad in the first place, no?

The part I'm more concerned about is that they turn off encryption completely for free accounts, which implies the existence of some kind of remotely-controllable "encryption killswitch"

There is no need to side-install; just go on the play store and search for some bullshit spam phrase like 'unblock pubg' and you'll get your pick of dozens if not more of ad-filled, malicious "VPN" that does MITM an

Phone 2FA is broken by default. Yes, it broke SMTP and it also broke all API access until they kinda-fixed API keys. Pretty much anything you used basic auth for at a touch point.

I can't think of any payment processor that would allow this without 3 separate entries. They would be upset or bring you into PCI scope if you were modifying or tampering with their single input SDK to send cardholder data elsewhere.
