Some of the points in this article ie: "at its core “good UX” just means “a good product”" is not true and shows that while this guy may be hip on the latest trends, has a solid enough grasp on some concepts, he is just starting out in the

Here is a link to a store where you can buy aerogel to give you an idea how cheap (even fancy) solutions to this issue can be. http://www.buyaerogel.com/

A big insight into how misdirected our efforts are. PS. You know who figure out an efficient way to make aerogel? (A foam like substance with amazing insular properties?) NASA. The people that come up with these sorts of things deserve that

This site seems to be filled with wonderful design goodies. I wish two things: 1. That I could read Japanese 2. The site was in English.

It's awesome to see NC on the front page of HN and it not be related to how backwards our new broadband laws are. :D I was curious if anything similar to American Underground existed in the state, glad to see it does. Thanks for writing!

Awesome approach. Whenever I start out a project, I always reset, then normalize it back up to a common standard, then apply the additional style. It's good to accelerate the first two steps with this.

So many places hire an office manager before they hire a permanent designer. It's a twisted perpective for businesses that should be focused on customers.

Amazing advice, building in teaching mechanisms into every day action is a really great one. I try and live by all of these...

“Not everything is design, but design is about everything.” - Michael Bierut I think that sums us both up nicely ;)

I'll concede as much. I was drawn by the fact that the discussion was about design, and you two went off into style land. It'd be about the same as us starting a talk on Rock and Roll and we really just dive into guitar solos while swearing

Design is a solution to a problem. It doesn't matter what the medium is. Sometimes you see these solutions on Dribbble but more often than not what you see are examples of style. They are two separate things.

I bet if I made a list like this highlighting what a programmer must have when working for a startup there'd be some serious hating going on. While this may be a good list if you want to read up for a month, this does not cover years of art

In eastern North Carolina especially, there are often times only one ISP in an area. Also, since it is often times rural in nature, said ISPs may not get you service because there aren't enough subscribers on your street. So there is that p

Thanks for the chance to try your app. Right off, I love it's look and simplicity. I will use it for the next several days and be thoughtful in the review.

Our lawmakers love keeping us technologically irrelevant. Now if this bill had something to do with College Basketball it would have turned out different. -_-

It's a fun app to use and kinda neat the tricks you can learn from it. One issue I have is that the markup/css is not the cleanest in the world but it definitely gets the job done. Go Hype!

The younger crowd is also more impressionable than the older crowd. Older investors I bet <3 to play sage and school the youngins' and the first step to get them to listen is to compliment them. lol
