For mac there is also talonvoice.com which allows a lot of similar functionality along with methods for connecting to keyboard shortcuts, voice/dictation control and noise control.

Are you planning on integrating these SLAM features into an API available from the device somehow? The spec sheet only mentions point cloud outputs right now.

What do you mean a counterbalancing mechanism? Multiple gyroscopes? It's just a cheap IMU (includes gyrometer) and an additional control output in their controller.

Are you 100% sure? 4 wheeler needs twice as many wheels and a larger frame. A little controller and imu is pretty cheap by comparison.

Does anyone have any experience with the ZED camera? They claim they can generate 3d maps down to 1cm resolution without LIDAR using these kinds of methods.

It's not that simple. A lot in the midwestern college town I live in costs more than the inflation adjusted median total house+lot price from 70 years ago and trailers are against zoning laws.

If we are talking about breaking tech monopolies, how about comcast? You can break up google and apple and Amazon, but I still only have one real choice for the internet connection I use to access them. I believe this is true for about 80%

That's a reasonable observation, but only loosely related to the parent post. Admin, code reviews, meetings all count towards that 2-4 hour goal

I also like the idea of paying out the proceeds of the tax as a dividend per capita. This would help prevent the tax from being regressive. Maybe also cap emissions instead of just taxing so that we can control the total amount of emissions

I tend to agree with you. I wonder though, does reframing as a crypto help them get around any rules, regulations or taxes?

It is unfortunate that the poll asked about changing the highest tax bracket, whereas Ocasio-Cortez suggested creating a new $10m tax bracket. They are very different things. Edit: I stand corrected. The picture in the article doesn't

Replace AI with Science and the articles points are all pretty much the same. The media reports on cancer cures, new batteries and energy tech, etc all the time. It's the same thing. Grand visions, money to be made, stories to sell.

If there is AGI all bets are off so to speak, what's a few dollars worth then? If there isn't AGI the money still has value. Doesn't sound like a rational bet, even if you think the odds of AGI soon are high.

When I was at ICLR a couple years ago, a group of 10 or so researchers from deepmind took a poll of themselves at breakfast and found the general consensus was that AGI was between 5-10 years away.

My parents never bought us (or themselves) books, but they took us to the library all the time, and we all like to read. I now take my kids to the library often as well. Buying as many books as we read as kids would have cost a fortune.
